It contains both the interpretations of literary works and the analyses of contemporary culture. The issues of suicide and human self-destruction are addressed by outstanding Polish humanists, who – looking at literary, film, biblical and mythological characters – not only ask how culture affects suicide, but also how the problem of human self-destruction affects culture.
