Special Issue 2024 "Hausa texts from Maradi (Niger) collected by Claude Gouffé in 1968 (with annotations in French)" jest poświęcony edycji tekstów tradycji ustnej Hausa z Nigru. Publikacja powstała jako efekt międzynarodowej współpracy dotyczącej utrwalenia języka i kultury Hausa oraz udostępnienia badaczom tekstów źródłowych w tym języku. Redaktorami tomu są Sergio Baldi, Nina Pawlak i Jibril Shu’aibu Adamu – hausaniści z ośrodków afrykanistycznych w Neapolu, Warszawie i Kano, których wspomagał francuski afrykanista Henry Tourneux. Teksty, w oryginale mające charakter ręcznie zapisanych notatek z badań terenowych, stanowią dziedzictwo wybitnego francuskiego badacza języka i kultury Hausa Claude’a Gouffégo (1926-2013). Edycja zachowuje oryginalne reguły ortograficzne oraz komentarze dotyczące form językowych i treści. Zapisy wywiadów z informatorem w dialektalnej odmianie hausa z Nigru zostały przedstawione w tematycznie odrębnych sekcjach: teksty etnograficzne, teksty literatury ustnej (opowieści) i poezja pochwalna (kirari). The publication is the result of an international collaboration aiming at perpetuating Hausa language and culture and making source texts in the language available to researchers. The editors of the volume are Sergio Baldi, Nina Pawlak and Jibril Shu'aibu Adamu – Hausanists from the Africanist centres in Naples, Warsaw and Kano, assisted by French Africanist Henry Tourneux. The texts, originally in the form of handwritten fieldwork notes, are the legacy of the eminent French Hausa language and culture scholar Claude Gouffé (1926-2013). The edition preserves the original orthographic rules and Gouffé’s comments on linguistic forms and content. The transcripts of interviews with a speaker of the dialectal variety of Hausa from Niger are presented in thematically distinct sections: ethnographic texts, oral literature texts (stories) and praise poetry (kirari).
