Prezentowana monografia, powstała na bazie pracy magisterskiej obronionej w Instytucie Historycznym Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego w 2017 roku, poświęcona jest polityce pamięci Drugiej Rzeczypospolitej wobec powstań narodowych i walk zbrojnych z lat 1794-1864 oraz postaci z nimi związanych. Autor dowodzi, że wpisywała się ona w szerszy kontekst polityczny, społeczny i kulturowy oraz pokazuje zależność interpretacji historii dokonywanej przez ówczesne elity państwa od sytuacji tak wewnątrz kraju, jak i na arenie międzynarodowej. ****** The Tradition of National Uprisings and Polish Armed Forces (1794?1864) in the Politics of Memory of the Second Polish Republic The monograph is devoted to the politics of memory of the Second Polish Republic concerning national uprisings and armed struggles of the years 1794?1864 and the figures involved in them. The author argues that it was set in a larger political, social and cultural context and shows the dependence of interpreting history by the elites of the state on the political situation in the country and abroad.
